| Nine charged after pub fracas |

One woman and eight men were charged yesterday with offences in connection with an incident in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, on bank holiday Monday.
Gardaí were called out to deal with a violent fracas at John D’s pub in the town shortly before 7pm.
The men from Balbriggan and Skerries were charged at Swords District Court and at the Bridewell with breaches of the peace and being drunk in a public place as well as property damage.
The charge sheets listed damage to windows, furniture, glasses and spirit bottles belonging to publican William Roe at John D’s.
Seven of the eight men – Martin Lawrence (29), of Bremore Drive, Balbriggan, Richard Daly (29) of Mourne Close, Skerries, Gerard Tuite, (46), of Derham Park, Balbriggan, Martin McDonagh (33), of Chapel Gate, Balbriggan, Christopher Lawrence (26), from Mourne Park, Skerries, Stephen Lawrence (22) and David Lawrence (26) from Gardiner’s Hill, Balbriggan
– were remanded on bail.
Brian Lawrence (30), of Hampton Wood, Balbriggan was remanded to Cloverhill prison until May 12th.
The woman, Annie Lawrence (22), of Dun Saithne Crescent, Balbriggan, was charged with intoxication in a public place and a breach of the peace. She was remanded on bail until July.
